Climate Impact Reports
Climate Impact Reports (CIR) are a self-reporting process initiated by Artists Commit to invite collaborators into a conversation about the climate impact of projects, to introduce the project team to key areas of climate impact, and to promote a practice of transparency within the sector when it comes to confronting the climate crisis. You can see past reports here: https://www.artistscommit.com/reports

What’s Involved?
CIRs have 4 core areas of reporting:
1) Emissions
2) Waste
3) Workers
4) Community

We provide some guidance, prompts, and resources for how to approach each section, but our intention is to get you and your team thinking about these areas and how they relate to climate impact. While we encourage reporting some specific things, like emissions from travel and shipping, we also invite participants to report based on what comes up in the process of asking these questions, including sharing what challenges were faced, how working on the report impacted project planning, and what could be done in future projects even if it wasn’t implemented this time.

How do I submit my CIR?
Submit your CIR here: https://www.artistscommit.com/reports/how-to-climate-impact-report

We encourage participants to share their CIR through their own channels. An archive of CIRs is also posted on the Artists Commit website.

Need Help?
Artists Commit maintains a google group email list where you can send in questions for advice or guidance. You can request to join this group here.

For additional resources to support climate action under each category, check out our Resources in the Climate Action Database.
