Lego LeagueExtracurricularsProgramFirst or Junior Lego League. Some express concern that current program not well communicated to all. Future program needs better emphasis on that.Ross MauHue Soo, Mike StoickTeams can have up to 6 kids, and they need 2 adult volunteers. So the main limiting factor is probably going to be adult involvement because we're looking at a 3:1 student to adult ratio. I think that might be helped because one adult could do multiple teams, but that's a considerable amount of time. The base cost for registration and a kit would be around $300-400 I believe. We could pay for that with a participation fee, but I'm fairly confident we can cover a lot of that with grants and fundraising. There would potentially be additional costs for things like food, t-shirts, etc.

Dual Language LibraryFacilitiesLibraryclassroom grant to purchase books that focus on diverse student populations (class, race, gender identity, diverse family structures, disabilities, etc.)Lisa CalahanMy idea is to partner with Jie Ming teachers to apply for a classroom grant to purchase early reader books in english and have the 4th and 5th graders translate them to Mandarin as part of a class project. If there are other parents or teachers who are at the PTA meeting who would like to help me write the proposal or be the contact teacher, I would appreciate it!
