TimestampHow has the school established a clear purpose/(vision and mission) of what students should know? How do we, as a school/staff evaluate school wide learner outcomes? How do we share this data to improve those outcomes? How do we include all stakeholders:(District, LCAP, Students, Parents, other school members, community) in sharing the vision and mission of our school? How are the stakeholders included in our vision and mission?

2/8/2017 13:21:43One way that the school established a clear purpose is through the mission statement posters in the classrooms. We can use the performance task and benchmarks as a way to evaluate school wide learner outcomes. We can share this data in our departments. Honor the shield is a good way to include all stakeholders in sharing the vision and mission of our school.

2/8/2017 13:29:57Teachers have trained on the new state standards and technology training for digital one-to-one instruction. Staff has discussed and created mission statements in staff meetings that encompass the vision of our school. Our DAVIS school-wide learner outcome is an integral part of our school culture, in that our programs and clubs support this goal.Through a variety of parent meetings, events, through our website and social media, parents are invited to learn about our programs and mission. LCAP input is typically handled more at the district level, although I believe some meetings are available for EL parents to discuss LCAP funding priorities.

2/8/2017 13:30:53I don't know that we have done a successful job of establishing a clear purpose. We have our mission statement - Diversity, Academics, Vision, Involvement and Spartan Support. Do students fully grasp all concepts? We state objectives, write on board- CFU- peer mentor.SBAC in Spring, Performance Task (writing ) in Fall, ce, etc.)Lexile (share with other teachers, counselors, resourceHot August Nights, Coffee With Counselors, Renaissance, AVID, Back to School Night and Open House, Honor The Shield

2/8/2017 13:31:04The school's mission statement is posted on the Davis site and in most classrooms. Curriculum is designed to encompass these main points and reflect them in activities and lessons. We utilize the SBAC test, Lexile testing, and Performance Task to check (school-wide) how students have reached specific reading and writing standards. We analyze those results to address where students are lacking and when we are seeing trends that are affecting large swaths of the the student population. The community is invited to campus for events such as Graffiti Night, Open House, Back to School Night, Coffee with the Counselors, Honor the Shield, Tutoring, and others. They are encouraged to remain involved with community based events, but I am not sure, beyond that, how they are included.

2/8/2017 14:09:32There is supposedly an established one but I have no idea what it is. Someone showed me a poster of it and it was the first time I've seen the poster.I do not know of any specific school wide outcomes but there are subject specific. We need a lot of work in this area.

2/14/2017 13:35:48I think we are still working toward a CLEAR and easily identifiable vision/mission that is common among all students and staff. The only school-wide data that I am aware of is standardized testing results, D/F rate, and graduation rate. I think we could do a better job of data analysis with the intent of improving student outcome, especially for struggling learner populations. A survey of site level priorities and expected outcomes should be given prior to solidifying our mission/vision.

2/16/2017 10:55:32Yes, but it isn't at the forefront of our thoughts (we always kick the year off with one but then forget about it)Leadership team is given data of all students and subgroups which is also shared in a general faculty meeting. We should be meeting in our departments to figure out how we can make improvements.Everyone is welcome to join meetings but I don't feel like we have a lot of involvement.

2/16/2017 11:01:51We have a Mission statement and our course requirements are clear In SDC we manage a caseload so we know witch of our students are passing and failing. We then meet as a department to talk about students who might be falling behind. We also meet and talk with the gen ed teachers of students on our caseload. I don't know how gen ed teachers do it.I know we have school site council meetings that consist of teachers, parents, students, and are open to the public where we address student success

20
2/16/2017 11:31:54This is difficult as we wait on changes in the educational establishment (Common core, NGSS, New state standards, new testing regimens, etc.). We have tried to maintain the focus on student improvement in both math and language by trying to blend those elements into other subject matter courses, also the digital curriculum has allowed us to impart functional skills in computer literacy that should transition well into practical college and workplace environments. We analyze graduation rates, D-F rates, Lexile Scores and share them at faculty meetings, department meetings and yearly training sessions, where we discuss how to improve them.Parent education classes, district trainings and cooperative curriculum development with colleagues within the school and the district, and by trying to maintain parental cooperation and communication where possible.

2/16/2017 11:46:51The admin reports to me which students of mine have F at each progress reporting period. I am told to make sure that none of my students have F's. I work with each student specifically regarding their Individualized Educational Plan, this is programmed based upon their own qualifying area. We are told the results of District wide test, we are told about the failure rate, and we are told about the attendance or lack of attendance rate. School site council meeting are all I know about where parents are included on decisions for the future of the school's mission and vision.
22
2/16/2017 12:00:46By communicating transparent learning objectives to all students.Through a variety of formal and informal formative and summative assessments. By providing instant feedback to students, learning outcomes are improved.I do not know.
23
2/16/2017 12:26:55Our mission and vision is provided on our website. Collaborations also allow for faculty to have a clear vision on our purpose.Assessments, benchmarks, formative assessments. Sharing through collaborations, faculty meetings.Providing a positive environment can include enrichment activities and events held at Davis high such as coffee with counselors, open house.
