*Many properties in the McGregor City limits fall within the flood plain, even those that are not near the river. In the very early stages of considering a project or property acquisition, it may be advantageous to determine if the property of interest is in the flood plain and how this may impact your project. Also note that Flood Plain Permits can take 2-3 months to process at the agency levels so advance planning is necessary.
