· No game videos or manuals
· Game descriptions are fairly succinct / on the short side

· There is a lot of overlap with the LB Games Database

Emumovies
https://emumovies.com1. YouTube4/5/2023XXMedia Package Downloads2005AllCircoUSACirco553,324Initially, our goal was to create video previews for video games, replacing the static screenshots used in gaming front-ends. Since then, our project has expanded to include hundreds of arcade, console, handheld, and computer-based gaming systems. Our collection now goes beyond video snaps and includes a wide variety of artwork and extras for many systems, thanks to our active community of content contributors. Also has FTP and sync options. FTP is similar to what's on the site. Sync is able to pull data for inidividual gamesN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AN/AVariable· Good range of media
· Has good selection of game manuals
· Downloads from the site and via the FTP are in packs; it is not possible to access data for individual games - other than by using a scraper; the site does not therefore function as a proper database
· As per the Launchbox forums downloads, the organisation into game media subcategories would be helpful

Including release info, credits, cover art, player-taken screenshots and descriptions, and much more! In short, it's a gigantic game database and our attempt to preserve the rich history behind electronic gaming, including the companies and people who made them. Information can be submitted by any registered user, but is vetted by long-time trusted contributors with proven expertise in video game history.2121201822040Front: 636x800 px

8814842Reasonable quality but full resolution only available to "approvers"· Includes lots of extra information such as reviews, trivia, credits
· Given the strict vetting criteria, information on the database likely has good accuracy
· Image layout is very well organised; good coverage of the PC platform (how site began)
· Regular updates to the site features and database functionality
· Has database stats page
· Given the quality of the database, the amount of game box art is less than expected
· The process of editing or adding items to the database seems overly stringent, with a wait of many months to a year before changes are approved by an "approver"
· No manuals or fanart of any type

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.comX4/5/2023XXDatabase1995AllFandom IncUSAAllen Tyner ("SBAllen"), Devin Morgan, David McCutcheon (""ZoopSoul")170,500,000GameFAQs is an online archive of video and computer game information, codes, walkthroughs, hints, message boards, save games files, and of course, FAQs. Everything on the site is contributed freely by various members of the public and is available for free private use to all visitors. If you're stuck on a game, want to find out more information about it, or just like reading about upcoming and past games, you'll likely find what you're looking for here.

GameFAQs was first launched on November 5, 1995 by its founder, Jeff "CJayC" Veasey. It began as the "Video Game FAQ Archive", and was originally on AOL member web space. The domain "gamefaqs.com" was registered on September 11, 1996, and by the end of 1996 the site was officially renamed as GameFAQs.

VGG is NOT a retailer or gaming news website; some news related articles and ads may appear on the site, but the focus of VGG is on recording video game related information. The game information recorded here is intended for posterity, historical research, and user-generated critique and discussion. The information contained within our database was meticulously and voluntarily entered on a game-by-game basis by our user base - You. This information is offered freely through flexible queries and "data mining". You may also use VGG to keep a personal record of your game collection. Contributor's to VGG retain all legal rights to the content they submit, and it may not be copied or used off-site without their consent.
· Built in integration with BoardGameGeek, one of the most popular board game databases with a large userbase.· Does not appear to have been active with admins or leadership since 2020.

Even though the site is aimed at providing arcade artwork it also covers lots of other systems.

You can use the artwork in various emulator front-ends or if the resolution is high enough it can be printed and used on real arcade machines or to replace any console or computer game covers you've lost or damaged.
