CADD Club (Computer-Aided Drafting & Design)Mr. BlasettiComputer-Aided-Drafting & Design club provides an opportunity to explore, learn, and play around with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, OnShape, and Meshmixer to create digital part models. Open to anyone interested in product / part design, mechanical engineering, and/or 3D printing. No experience required to sign up. Whether you want to use the time to hone your CADD skills, have personal part designs in mind, or if you want to help develop solutions to presented problems that come up from faculty requests.

Students at any skill or knowledge level of chess will have the opportunity to learn the basics of chess and play chess face-to-face with other students, both over the board and online. Students with interest will be able to discuss, practice, and execute openings, middlegame and end game strategies, and refine those skills against peers, computers, and through puzzles. iRacing ClubMr. SavardiRacing is technically a game, but it's also engineering and track modeling, its kinematics are second to none, and real-world racing drivers often use the software for training. Club members will sim race, learning about the “Science” of race car driving, including how to set up a car for the best speed on any given track and weather conditions, how to drive a car on a race track using the best path, and which cars are the best for certain races. The organization provides a way for students to learn more about the technology used at Central York School district than is provided during classes. Students in the group will learn from the technology support specialists and from each other. Everyone learns help desk tech support basics, then they may expand to working with makerspace and programming. Our two annual events are the Hour of Code week, including the Family and Community evening event, and our Hackathon, and members are able to attend the LIU 12 Student Help Desk Forum to expand their knowledge and connect with students from other local schools. We focus on volunteering our time to help better our school and community. We complete various activities during the school day and after school. Some activities include Operation Christmas Child, volunteering at elementary schools, Adopt a Highway, the Optimist Olympics, and more. Because the Optimist Club is an international organization, there is an annual dues that must be paid by participants. Scholarships are available on a need basis. Student CouncilMs. BlackStudent Council represents the student body in planning events and fundraisers that benefit the students. Some of these events and fundraisers include Homecoming, spirit weeks, Club Fair, staff appreciation, etc. Council will meet on Day 5 for the purposes of planning events and fundraisers. Work days will occur once a month outside of school hours. Class officers will meet once a month before school. Attendance is mandatory for Day 5 club and morning class officer meetings but will be optional for the work days after school. Student Council members are expected to participate in class and club fundraisers. As student leaders, council members are expected to maintain a clean disciplinary record. Disciplinary infractions, depending on the severity, may result in dismissal from the club.
