Key ClubDr. SeitzKey Club’s core values directly relate to the values that CYSD holds dear. Key Club promotes the growth of the high school students that participate through service, leadership, and character building. Key Club is inclusive-they represent the world community and encourage people of different backgrounds to participate. Key Club builds resilience and is a test of one’s determination and commitment as they work to achieve at least 50 service hours a year and plan multiple community projects. Our fundamental differentiation from other service clubs is the fact that the students themselves take initiative at both local and global levels. In addition, Key Club places emphasis on the development of the students themselves just as much as they do with the local and global community. However, Key Club is not meant to take away from the existing service club structure. The world can only benefit from more ways of developing our future, and more ways of building a strengthened
community. Key Club just differs in ways that cater specifically to the young adults that grow under its care. $$ There is a membership fee for this organization.$$
