What is a Fantasy Draft?Similar to sports, a fantasy league helps add excitement and tests the knowledge of each player's skill level. For a tournament, each person drafts players that they believe will do the best in the given tournament. The person will be given a certain number of points depending on how well the player performs. The team with the most points wins the fantasy draft
8
Prize DistributionIf you are playing for $$, typically I give out 70% for 1st and 30% for 2nd
9
How to play?Gather a group of fellow Smash Enthusiasts, wager a little money ($10-20) to keep it entertaining and start a draft pool!
10
11
Draft OrderThe order of a draft is snake style. A player who gets the 1st pick of a particular round will be the last one to pick in the following round.
12
For Example: (4 person draft)
13
Round 1Player A chooses M2K first.
14
Player B chooses Mang0 second
15
Player C chooses Dr. PeePee third
16
Player D chooses HungryBox fourth
17
Since Player D chose last, he will choose first in the next round
18
Player D chooses Shroomed 5th, Player C chooses Hax 6th and so on
19
20
Choosing a Draft OrderThere are some inherit advantages to picking in a particular spot, so to ensure that there is a fair system in place, you can bid for the preferred spot in the auction at the expense of losing points in the end
21
For example, I bid 36 points for 1st Pick. Peter bids 40 pts. As a result, Peter wins the 1st pick, but will lose 40 pts in his final point total
22
You can decide how to determine this, but typically doing an auction for each pick is the fairest as it ensures that everyone had a chance to get whatever pick they wanted
23
Otherwise, you can keep it random
24
25
DraftingOnce the pick order is done, you can begin drafting. The 1st pick should pick his player and then contact/poke the next player in line to make their pick. This process should be done for 8-10 rounds (depending on the # of relevant notable players entering the tournament)
26
It also helps to keep a list of notable players for everyone to share, once a player has been picked, you should cross him off the list

ScoringOnce the tournament is finished, note the placements of each of the players and calculate your final score. The team with the most points wins.
