2	Image Selection	Compelling images support the message of the memoir. Slides are attractive and free of unnecessary words or clutter.	Images all literally represent the events of the memoir and do not attempt to represent figurative meanings in the story.	Some slides are not attractive or have more than 10 words.	Images are distracting from the meaning of the story. OR Some images are missing, student did not finish the project.	Images are not relevant to the memoir, represent ideas or places that are not represented in the script.	Images are the same as the original template.
3	Citations	Images are all used legally and correctly cited on the image and/or on a "works cited" slide at the end of the presentation.			Some images might be used illegally, images are not cited, and orgins are indeterminate.	One or more images is copyright protected and should not have been used in this presentation.
4	Script	Script in the slide notes fits with the images on the slides and supports the message of the memoir. Script is free of grammar, punctuation and other errors.	Script is almost perfect, but needed a bit more proofreading, a bit more editing, or a bit more meaning to make it truly wonderful.	Script has been adapted to the shorter format of the digital story, but does not match well with the selected images, does not tell enough of the story or is full of proofreading errors.	Script is an unedited version of the original memoir, ie too long or not adapted to the shorter format necessary for a digital story.	Script is incomplete, not on slide notes section, or has so many grammar, punctuation and spelling errors that it is difficult to understand what the author is saying.	Notes section is still the original directions from the template.
