The Movie-Going Experience project MattConley Jan 26, 2016
This is a place where we can share any kind of story or experience related to the act of going to the movies...
MedTalk to someone about a unique and memorable time at the movies...
For this challenge, talk to someone about a movie-going experience (something that happened at a theatre, or to and from a movie.)
I'm most interested in getting the perspective of different generations. That way we could get stories from decades ago, as well as recent times. They could be funny, sad, inspirational - maybe darkly humorous.
So, get out your camera and talk to someone about an experience truly unique to them. Thanks!
6/30The idea of interviewing someone else takes the pressure off me as an artist
It’s a fun way to get to know other people
Gives me an excuse to interview people I already know
Might lead to getting closer to my friends
How to get great sound, watch tutorials on youtube
How to get great indoor lighting, watch tutorials on youtube and google, ask Mrs. Gottfried
How to use the DSLR camera for interviews, research on google
Folowing my blissI usually do this sort of thing with a professional camera man, maybe I don't have the chops to do it myself
I can do this with one hand tied behind my back, I already know how to do this
This is not challenging
I need to keep my skills up
Every opportunity is a learning experience
I am open to learning new things from old skills
I might be surprised with something new

10-Day Diary Challenge
missamerica Dec 15, 2015
Take a photo every day for 10 days
Small10-Day Diary Challenge...feet
It's practically an intuition for every photographer to take a picture of their feet. But these photos can show us a lot about where we've been.
For the next 10 days, take a photo of your feet whereever you may go; whether it's on the pavement, in a field, on the beach. Let these 10 photos be a diary of where you've been.
The goal is to take a photo that represents your day, so one photo per day please!
6/30This is a short and sweet project
It's about establishing a regular practice around my art
Photography doesn't require a whole lot of prep time
It's spontaneous
It's a bit random
It's not that challenging but I wonder what I can come up with
Definitely want to shoot on manual, experimentation
This would be a great project for experimenting with fstops and depth of focus, read articles about topic
Follow my nose
Learning a new technical skill
I'm not a professional photographer
I can't remember to do it every day
My life is not that interesting, so my photos will be boring
I'm up for trying anyway
I could wind up making some really cool photos
This might lead to something else creative!
I love the mystery!

Visual Textures LibrarySmallTextures!!! They are the shit... am I right?!?!
They are everywhere. The bottom of your shoes, the napkin you wiped your coffee with, the feathers of a bird. But what can we do with them?
We use textures as visual artists for so many things. I have become especially interested in using them for my experimental photography. But they can also be used for video, album artwork, fine art and so much more. Additionally, the best textures can stand alone as their own piece of art. They can be fine tuned with a little bit of processing and turned into the most intricate mesmerizing visual form of ecstasy!
Try experimenting with your texture library and see what it looks like inverted. If you're in photoshop, try creating a gradient map. Google that shit. Trust me it's super easy and really fun to see what it does to your images.
Let's gather them all together AND see what new textures we can generate.
You'll see some example of my own in the starter crate.
You can also contribute your finished pieces from the textures found in the contributions for this challenge. Yippee textures!
6/30I would love to learn more about how to use the textures library in photoshop
This one is about experimentation
I might be inspired by other people's textures
I love photographing textures
Gradient Map, Youtube and googleFolow my nose

It called to me and pulled me in
Is this too easy for me?
Ooh, want to learn something new in Photoshop!
This could be fun!
How can you go wrong?
