Follow these steps as you use the budget templates on the corresponding tabs:

1To save this file in your Google Drive:
Click "File"
Click "Make a copy"

To save this file on your computer:
Click "File"
Click "Download as"
Click "Microsoft Excel"

2Select the "COGS Budget" tab if you have Cost of Goods Sold
Select the "Non-COGS Budget" tab if you do not have Cost of Good Sold

3To add your logo:
Add it to the top left where it says "[Logo Goes Here]"
In the main navigation click "Insert" then "Image" and upload your logo

4Replace "[Company Name Goes Here]" with the name of your company

5Under the "Income" section, there are 3 rows labeled "[Add income category here if needed. Delete row if not needed.]"
If you do not have additional income sources to add, delete these rows
To add income categories, edit the names of the rows and replace them with the names of your income categories

6Common expense categories have been listed for you
You can edit, add or delete any as needed

7The only numbers you are editing during the budgeting process are the ones in the Budget columns (e.g. "JAN Budget")

8Do not edit the values in the following rows as they are formulas that will automatically calculate for you:
-Total Income
-Total Fixed Expenses
-Total Variable Expenses

-Net Income

10As months close, enter actuals in each category and you'll be able to see the variance and totals on a monthly and yearly basis for each category and can also compare fixed vs. variable
