There are a couple of ways to use this spreadsheet for word games

Word search

Many of the cells in this puzzle are formulas which generate random letters, but then the words to be found are explicitly typed into the desired locations - letter by letter. To create a new puzzle, copy one of the cells with the random formula to all the other cells and then type over those cells where you want your words to be positioned... Check the ranadom letters generated for any offensive words...

To generate new random letters, change cell C2 in the "Get a new puzzle" sheet... that will force all random letter formulas to regenerate.

Word Maker

This is a simpler puzzle where all the letters are random and players try to form words by connecting letters in any direction... Usually points are awarded by the length of the word formed - 3 points for a 3-letter word, 4-points for a 4-letter word, etc. You can expnad the size of the puzzle easily by inserting columns or rows in the middle and then copying other columns or rows from the puzzle into those spaces.
