Winter Shelter 2019
2
Thanks for signing up to serve a meal during our annual winter shelter, sponsored through the Georgetown Ministry Center! INSTRUCTIONS: For each night of the shelter, there are two slots, a lead slot which supplies the main course, and an assisting slot which takes the sides and dessert. If you have served before, we encourage you to take the lead slot, and if this is your first year, we encourage you to take the assisting slot. You'll be supplying food for 10-15 people (8 guests, 1-2 staff people, and your volunteers), as the volunteers eat the meal with the guests. As for timing, the building will be open at 6:30 p.m. to set up, guests arrive at 7 p.m., and dinner is served at 7:30 p.m. While you will be responsible for everything from setting up the tables through clean up, you will not be alone. Instructions will be provided ahead of time and someone from GPC can provide assistance if requested, even if you've done this before. We want everyone to be comfortable and enjoy time with our guests. We encourage you also to cook as much as you can at home, to shorten prep time at GPC. You'll be contacted a few weeks before your sign up date with full instructions and any food allergies that may be present in our guests. Thank you! Any questions: Email Pastor Chris (ccs@gtownpres.org) or Rick Lawson (lawson.rick7@gmail.com)
