Ranges from simplistic and nuanced self-help books to academic fields like Positive Psychology.	Seeks to develop individuals in a tailored manner across a wide range of areas. Aims to bring about flourishing in individuals.	More cost-effectiveness focused. Directly focuses on becoming the kind of person who can do the most good by addressing pressing problems and contributing to flourishing futures as opposed to seeing individual flourishing as the final goal.
4	EA community building	Promoting ideas around big picture questions, impartial altruism, and science with the intention of using our global resources in more optimal ways.	Prioritizes roughly the same individuals (e.g., people who are driven by impartial altruism and a scientific mindset). Seeks to help them improve their own standards so they can do more good.	Focuses on interventions that increase factors such as mental health, productivity, and skill-building. Doesn’t prioritize bringing in new people to the community. Doesn’t promote the ideas that animates the community.
