The boys absolutely love coming to school and only on one occasion have I had my youngest boy upset over the behaviour of another child towards him. This was promptly dealt with by ALL staff, and even the breakfast club staff took the matter to heart and made me feel not only heard, but also confident that the matter would be quickly resolved. All staff members are approachable and fair, and this shows in the exemplary behaviour and caring attitude of the pupils that I have been witness to over the years. As a parent I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have Abermorddu as the local primary school for my children to attend. Thank you everyone. This has happened several times, I don't know if the teacher explained or not but I would like you to talk with children, listen to how they felt, explain what was not good and think about what/how they can do/be from now on to support children's development.
I believe it's very good for children to lean about their feelings and how to control them especially like anger. Deep breath is of cource one of the way to calm down but at hte same time, I believe it's very important for them to know it's ok to feel anger and understand why they get angry. When they get angry, there are always something important for children but they are missing for example they get angry because they couldn't feel connection with their friends or they feel they are not heard, understood, something like that. And that connection, heard, understood is something important for that child. If school could help children to connect to themselves to understand what they need, what are important for themselves, that would be great support for children's emotional and mental welllbeing.
Thank you for your support always.
