The laptop is called Bison or Pixel 3 internally and would include a fingerprint sensor and stylus support. Android police is confident that Andromeda is distinct from bringing Android apps to ChromeOS but instead an attempt to merge ChromeOS features into Android. The target release of the laptop is Q3 2017 for around $799 though anything could change. 9to5 Google's sources also confirm the laptop as well as a Huawei Nexus tablet that will run Andromeda and come out before the laptop.||http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/09/26/exclusive-google-is-planning-a-pixel-3-laptop-running-the-andromeda-os-for-release-in-q3-2017/|

He points out that the tools to bring a site offline are not only in the hands of governments. His site is back up under Google's Project Shield which protects journalists from censorship. Krebs also noted that lax security on IP-connected devices like internet cameras and DVRs provide a platform for the bots that conduct denial of service attacks and called for stronger security implementation on all connected devices.||http://krebsonsecurity.com/2016/09/the-democratization-of-censorship/|
|v||Uber products head Jeff Holden told Kara Swisher at a conference this past weekend that Uber is looking into a vertical takeoff and landing service. VTOL aircraft can hover takeoff and land vertically but unlike helicopters have fixed wings instead of rotors. Holden believed the technology could be offered for short haul flights within the decade and eventually be autonomous. He said craft could land on top of buildings to help reduce commute times in cities. Airbus's Project Vahana is researching using VTOL craft as air taxis.||http://www.recode.net/2016/9/25/13048094/uber-vertical-takeoff-aircraft-jeff-holden|

|Just a reminder to any Uber or Lyft users out there, if the driver or vehicle that arrives to pick you up doesn't match the driver or vehicle shown in your app, cancel the ride and report the driver. Oh, and don't get in the car. It's a pretty big safety risk, as I've written about previously. (http://www.dailytechnewsshow.com/your-private-driver-safety-first/)|
If multiple drivers want to share a vehicle, there are legitimate ways to do this, whether it be separate accounts attached to the same car, or sub-accounts under a master business account. Just handing the keys off to someone else is not acceptable, and it should result in the deactivation of that driver.
I believe that if more riders were aware that account sharing is a reportable offense, I wouldn't have to risk being locked out of my legitimate account because I don't have enough light around to properly capture my dark skin tone in a selfie. And yes, this has actually happened, so I'm just a little bit salty.
As a former Uber driver I am all for this photo verification. What I would really like though is photo verification for passengers. One of the reasons why I stopped is the switch and bait for passengers. I would get a request from "Sally" and then get there where I met "Jon her boyfriend who doesn't have an account". Now I should cancel on principle and I have a few times but other times if it was a quick drive I would pick them up and take them to their destination. I shouldn't lose money for someone's fraudulence.
