Procedures:
1. Begin by reading Follow the Line by Laura Ljunkvist, asking the students to pay close attention to the illustrations and the use of one line.
2. Teach how to read the color wheel, introducing primary, secondary, warm, cool, analagous, and complementary colors. Students should pick one of the color groups and use paper of those colors to make buildings for their city.
3. When the buildings are all arranged on the paper, they should glue them down.
4. Finally, review the illustrations in the book, focusing on how one line creates all of the details of the pictures in the book. Demonstrate how to use a ruler and Sharpie to make one continuous line across the page to add details such as doors, windows, flowerpots, cloudes, etc.
