Drama ClubGeorge Hosker-BouleyThe York High School Drama Club presents 4-5 productions every year including a Fall comedy; a presentation of A Child's Christmas in Wales; a one-act piece as part of the Maine State Drama Competition and a Spring Musical. Rehearsals are generally held 2-3 days a week (though most do not have to attend all) expect for the week of the production.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)Sarah Bolanos Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a competitive business club that has events at the state and national levels. Students are able to pick from a variety of topics to compete in such as accounting, public speaking, journalism, and more.

PrismTina JovanovichPrism meets every other week to hang out and plan events at school to bring awareness and educate the YHS community about LGBTQ info and issues. We also travel once a month to regional GLSEN meetings where we meet with other schools GSTA's to share ideas and learn stuff pertaining to the LGBTQ community.

Modern Business History ClubCourtney DoldThe Modern Business History Club will look at modern successful businesses and investigate what these businesses and entrepreneurs did to become successful.

Math TeamTina JovanovichThe Math Team practices once a week preparing for 5 monthly math meets. Topics range from general math to algebra 2 topics.

Model UNAna FiorettiModel UN meets Thursday mornings in room B208. We travel to conferences around New England where we collaborate with other schools to create a mock United Nations. The conferences cover topics such as climate change, mineral rights, womens rights, WHO, and many more, for nations across the gloabe. It is a great way to gain perspective of other countries and what drives global commerce and policy.

NeuroDiversity ClubMelissa PeranerThis club was created to celebrate NeuroDiversity, or individuals whose brains operate differently than the typical person's brain. Students involved in this club celebrate NeuroDiversity, learn about themselves, promote acceptance, and spread awareness with the goal to end the stigma associated with NeuroDiversity while connecting with peers. Students could also join the club as "Student Allys" to individuals who consider themselves NeuroDiverse. All are welcome!

N.O.L.A.'s ClosetClaudia PeetA Comminity initiative intednded to collect gently used adolescent clothes to create outfits by size that will be individually packaged and distribute to instituation serving the adolescent polulation in need of clothes.

Odyssey of the MindMichele FreitagOdyssey of the Mind is a problem solving competition where students work in teams of 5 - 7 students to create a performance to showcase their solution. They also work on solving problems spontaneously and creatively. There are five problems to choose from, focusing on: designing and building a vehicle, technical skills, classic art and literature, engineering a balsa wood structure, or humor and performance arts. Teams compete at a regional tournament in March, and those who qualify, move on to the state tournament in April. Qualifying teams may attend World Finals in May.

RoboticsLinda Mackaman, Kristen BerubeRobotics Team runs September through February and competes with other schools throughout the state in VEX Robotics.

School NewspaperMatt RosenbergNewspaper is a club for students who are interested in publication. The Agamenticus Sun is a publication which seeks to inform and entertain the YHS community. The focus is on fun and learning new skills. The Agamenticus Sun is looking for writers, editors, photographers, graphic artists, and computer format people.

Senior FacilitatorsKathy Damiano, Jen HumphreyStudents apply in May of their Junior year. Selected students attend a training in August to prepare them to lead and facilitate Freshmen Orientation as well as work with their assigned freshmen Pride throughout the year.

Speech & DebateMary Banks, Malanie KyerYHS Speech and Debate meets to practice weekly from mid-September to mid-February with competitions on most Saturdays between October-February. Students don't need to attend every practice or competition to be on the team and new members are always welcome!

Stock Market ClubMichael Cleary
This club wil give YHS students a community based way to learn the ins and outs of the stock market. Students will have the opportunity to explore various investement strategies.

Student CouncilNicole MastersonStudent Council aims to teach elected student officials how to actively make formal changes in a school. As the voice of the student body, students work together to formulate proposals for school reform which are then presented to administrators. Student Council also plans much of the activities during Spirit Week. This organization is great for kids interested in government and developing leadership skills.

TIDALWAVSEGina Brodsky, Erika LubyTIDALWAVSE is a group of students, who have publicly pledged to be drug and alcohol free, promotes a positive lifestyle by encouraging "natural highs." They aim to make it cool to be clean by providing monthly, substance-free activities and fostering a sense of community at YHS. Their goal is to help their peers make healthier choices and to live their best lives.

Young Women's LeadershipNicole MastersonYWL is a group that helps young women discuss womens’ issues and ways in which we can bring change to our world and locally. Each year, we organize tampon drives for homeless women shelters, create a video project with younger girls and elder ladies in our community, have potlucks and movie nights and offer general support and inspiration to one another with various activities
