The Chief of Schools Office includes, the Chief of Schools for High Schools, the Chief of Middle Schools, the Chief of Elementary Schools, Secondary and Elementary School Improvement Partners, the District Athletic Director and the Executive Assistants.

This Central Office team, in concert with the Chief of Schools of Operations, provides direct supports to secondary and elementary schools to ensure that every school has what they need to be a thriving school that is preparing every student, with a special focus on African American students and Students with Disabilities, to be college, career, and community ready. We help schools maximize their SIP strategies while minimizing distractions and barriers that get in the way of schools achieving their equity vision and their school performance goals.

Implementation of current School Improvement Plans through high quality building leadershipSchool Improvement Partners plan and facilitate focused school support visits, work with school leaders to focus on classroom instruction, provide central office supports, serve as thought-partners to schools to develop, implement, and monitor the progress of their SIP.

Chiefs provide individual principal coaching aligned to SIP goals, their PPG, and SLO, that also includes performance evaluation cycles.

Develop a more coherent approach to support for schools through Coherence Teams.Cross functional teams that will be tasked with ensuring greater coherence across the multiple reform strategies at the high school level and the related Central Office support systems at both middle and high levels so that school communities are empowered and better poised to achieve their SIP goals with a specific focus on the students in their focus groups with an eye on Black Excellence.Chiefs, Deputy Chief and Partners
