There appears to be an extra strap on the bridle…cannot see it very clearly. Be sure your bridle conforms to the rules of your association.
Pony is willing and obedient. There is some head nod and uneven steps. This could be lack of balance – although it is seen in both directions – or could be some discomfort. Please investigate to be sure pony is comfortable.
The overall energy is good. Work to increase suppleness so that the topline can be rounder. When you ask for bend or turns, the jaw should soften and the neck relax…right now it’s all staying the same. Practice using inside leg for more bend in the body – think of pushing the ribcage to the outside. As you develop more bend in the body, it will be easier to find the softness of the neck and jaw and the pony will be more elastic.
Work on sitting up taller with more stability in your leg. Don’t jam the foot down onto the stirrup…just allow the weight to filter down your leg into a slightly lowered heel. The half halts come from using your elbows to move the bit softly in the mouth, so your arms have to be quiet and steady.
You showed good geometry in your test. Use your corners to help develop the bend and suppleness.
