#noregretigaveup - AniRoseGood horror atmosphere for the most part. But there are too many daytime scenes to really nail the macabre vibe. The lyric matches are strange at points, like the "spider" lyric shows a frog? The editing pace is good, but stronger scene selection is needed to really boost the video.
4
108 Dragons - FarloGood quality for such an old source. The video has a somber yet menacing tone with the music. Beyond the setup of the video, I find it hard to follow what is happening in the scenes. And the last chase scenes go on for quite a while.
5
404 good AMV not found - BloodCurseThe action sequences are decently edited, but the odd joke cutaways and source changes are jarring and distracting. With how long each source is used in each sequence, it seems like the video would be better with just concentrating on a single source.
6
10/10 would not bang - Leo LideSoooooo much text. Was amusing at points, but the prolonged fight scenes in the background seem lazy. There is a lot of editing with the amount of text in here, but it is unbalanced with the amount of actual anime editing to hold attention.
7
A Swan of Black, A Swan of White - SaberAMVThe mood and atmosphere of the video is spot on for the source. The general scene selection is nice, but the beat sync is too loose. The song has a lot of energy and strong beats, but the scenes don't really move on beat with the songs. Since the video is in a foreign language, the video isn't clear enough for me to logically follow what is going on at times. And at those times I look to the editing to carry me, which it can't quite do. Good effort.
8
Breathe Again - danparthenisAwesome editing. The editing alone transforms the source from slow, mellow source to an dramatic action video. I love the beat sync with the flipping scenes and use of motion. It's no small feat to turn the everyday activities of the characters into action, but you did it. Bravo on that.
9
Dead Souls - kemaxto20Definitely creepy stuff. The story is super easy to follow which is good, but the simplicity makes the video looks like one long scene. I get the jist of it all, but there isn't a whole lot of content to hold my interest. The editing hits some high points at certain parts, but they don't last long enough to sink my teeth into.
10
Dropbox.exe - LeoroyGood overall action editing to various sources. You uniform the sources nicely from each scene to the next. However, the video has a lot of technical issues. Broadcast logos, aspect ratio issues, frame blending, and audio issues really damper the overall viewing experience.
11
Edit Annoying - SliceofLifeGood solid action editing, but the scene selection is very heavy on close ups on faces. This makes the video super awkward as it goes on since there is definitely action happening in these scenes, but you aren't showing us. The transitions and sync is spot on, but the content of the scenes is repetitive and misleading. I want it to explode and break out, but it never does.
12
Fight - SeanPNGThe general idea of the video is solid. The fighting and struggles are represented well on screen, but the slower parts and lyrics appear off base with no correlation until near the end. More balance is needed to really even the video out so that that the whole video is great, instead of just the action breakouts.
13
Fun and Crazy! - blaksunThank you.
14
Greed's Sin - WolfandSerpentThe video is super focused on the character which is appreciated. Certain segments of the video have great mood and sync. While others seems like it was part of a conversation scene where nothing notable is happening. The random lip flap is distracting as well.
15
Hold Your Head Up High - Nya-chan ProductionGreat angsty drama vibe. The story telling and glimpses of each character are interesting and engrossing. The end looks to be one long sequence and there is not much of an action atmosphere to be found.
16
Humanity's Descent - xSnowflakesGreat sync and dynamic. The nods to each characters stories and motivations are appreciated. The effects and transitions are very slick as well. Overall I love this video, and that is saying a lot for the way I usually feel about Fate/Stay AMVs.
17
i_failed.mp4 - Amai EliGreat storytelling and mood in this one. I appreciate the attempt at effects, but they need to look alot better and be used a lot more to establish a theme. The jumbled words in the background are a great idea, but are not used enough for the video to really catch on to what you were doing. This video looks like you just needed a lot more time to get it just right, but it is still good. I would be curious to see the finished form of this AMV if you ever decide to go back to it.
18
I'm Not Afraid To Walk This World Alone - DemonicHumanThe editing is seemingly random at points. Like the intro is this sentimental dramatic build up, but there are scenes of soldiers doing backflips in the middle of scenes of crying and death. When the video breaks out, it is an overload of overlays and fast action scenes, which would be fine if the song was faster.
19
Infinity's Silence - DrangoGreat dynamic and glimpses into the characters. The action sequences are a bit mindless with so much gundam fights. I would like more correlation with the characters to break up the long space battle sequences to add more meaning and pathos to the overall video. Still appreciate the Gundam feels here though.
20
Kings - Scara99Awesome editing, storytelling, mood,....hell everything is represented here. All of the elements that are needed for a great vid are here. Attention to characters, sync, dynamic, intensity. After watching this video and realizing it's about more than just "random volleyball scenes for 3 minutes" and that there is actual progression and meaning to the scenes is super appreciated. The dynamic of the video is the shining light here. The intensity is intense and the drama is dramatic, all while matching the beat & tone of the music for maximum effect. I found myself totally engrossed in the vid after the first viewing and find myself rewatching it like crazy.
21
Life Fiber Override - animefreak7The action is presented well enough in this vid. The sync is there enough to hold the video together. I feel like the video stays the same pace for the whole time, which makes it seem boring after a while. The story has a beginning and ending, but I have trouble follow what's going on in the middle. The end of the video seems overly heavy on the last couple episodes of the show.
22
Light 'Em Up - mugiwaradorkThe breakouts here are the highlight as they hit hard with the lyrics. But the rest is very loose and unnotworthy. Much of the middle of the video is long chunks of one episode which throws off the "wow" factor of the highpoints that came before and after.
23
Live Another Day - NymhVery sequential video without much sync to the song. There is definitely a concept here, but it isn't presented as well as it could be.
24
Mental Break - SVProductionsThe concept and atmosphere could be excellent. But there isn't strong enough scene selection to represent the disjointed nature of the song. There needed to be more focus on the madness at points, but instead there were simply fight scenes. The sync is alright, but never very strong to match the heavy beats of the song or yells of the lyrics.
25
Mission Punch Line - MilcAndCookiesThis video is definitely action. But I question if there was any editing for large portions since it seems to be a long continuous single fight sequence. The intermissions where it shows the emotion bits of the characters is a good breakup to the action.
26
Phosphor - UnluckyArtistMetal as F*CK here. I appreciate that. Not that I'm a huge fan of metal, but it is so rarely used in AMVs. Overall a pretty solid video, but it definitely fluxes between awesome and average at points. The attention to the lyrics is appreciated and made me smile at points. The drumroll sync you do is awesome. The rest of the ok parts need to be just a bit more awesome to carry the video's long runtime.
27
Rising - emixchanDefinitely some intense stuff here. I like the action editing for the most part, but those flashes kill my eyes. And they go through the entire video. Definitely need to tone those down to make the video easier to watch. The random audio sampling from the shows seemed unnecessary as well.
28
Save Us All - PantherMarie1988Good attention to story and lyrics here. The action editing is a bit mellow for an action video, but it works. The focus on the characters and story makes up for the lack of crazy over-the-top action.
29
Six - LiquifiedSO...MUCH...ACTION. NEED...TIME...TO...BREATHE. But seriously, super actiony video. But I really did need a part to slow things down and take a break. This video is like driving down the highway at 200 miles an hour non-stop. Which is fun at first, but then seems a bit grating and normal after a while. Break up that crazy action to put it in perspective and hold the intensity with the viewer longer.
30
Stinger - Copycat_RevolverClever action video with some unique and great sync. The vibe of the video is fun, but the scenes back up the action element. I like the video overall, but it doesn't quite have the impact or intensity it should have to really push it to the level it needs to reach.
31
The Strongest Hero - ThyPirateKingDecent action editing with a fitting song. (which is a given :P) Not sure about dem tears.
32
There Ain't Nothin To It - PhlashbakFun, carefree action vid with some great motion sync. The overall scene selection seems super random, since I can't say if the volleyball or the hijinks are the focus here. But the parts that are action are edit very nicely. Why did that one guy blow his load all over his pants?
33
Throne - TaliaMatsuoThe storytelling and character focus is good, but the sync is very loose.
34
Tomorrow is Today - xXPrincessCeceliaJarring start. Emotional motivations of the characters is appreciated and presented well. Weird mesh of different anime going from futuristic to historical, and fantasy to sci-fi. Need to loose the BS11 logo on some of the footage. Overall good vibe, but it was hard to attach too much to each show since they are only given a small section of the song.
35
Tounge of Liars - VolteriaGood dramatic emphasis. Much better font choice that isn't super distracting. I like the diversity in the sources and profiles of the specific characters. It needs an ending though.
36
Traitor - exkcalGood dramatic /action vid. Very fitting sources and atmosphere. The slow parts are the highlight here as they fit very well to set up the story. The action is a bit sluggish and long winded on scene choice. Overall, a good effort that is stronger in some places than others.
37
UnWelcome - QuickStrikeHaven't seen this show in a long time. Interesting choice of sources. Very fitting and retro. The overall ideas is sound, but the video does move a bit slow, even when there is action on screen.
38
Wrath - alchemyminiAppreciate the FX here. Adds a nice touch to the video. The overall pace and scene selection s good. However, the latter half gets a bit faces/hands heavy. I want to see why there is all this fist clenching and crying. Otherwise, good stuff.
