23080.00DASBV recently returned as a provider for our county. They projected they were serving about 50% clients linked to OUD. In order to keep a vibrant network so that they could provide OP & IOP services as needed to the OUD population, we funded half of the infrastructure support needed with the Opioid Settlement Funds. The Balance was paid by our SCA Base Allocation in order to provide services to other consumers in active addiction needing support. Magazine
13000.00The Response magazine, established in 2018, addresses a goal of the SOS Berks Opioid Coalition Strategic Plan: 'To ensure that all residents of Berks County are well-informed on overdose, signs of a Substance/Opioid Use Disorder, treatment options, and recovery programs available throughout the community.' Initially funded through a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), the Response magazine publication has offered the reader timely articles on opioid and other substance issues, while addressing the stigma toward substance use and raising community awareness to available and emergent resources. Two issues of the magazine are produced each year with a circulation that reaches a broad audience including schools, churches, libraries, physicians' and dentists' offices, barbershops and beauty salons, social service agencies, and individual homes. An online version of the Response is available concurrently with the print edition in English and Spanish.Approved in MayNoYesDetails
