He took black and white pictures to show us the diferent tones each of our paintings had. Then we looked at some of the work of an artist and picked out shapes from his paintings and drew them on our paper with charcoal. We overlaped many shapes to create wacky wierd marks all over our papers.

3 hours1/31/2015My first day of class, My teacher talked about the materials we were going to need for the class. How to properly sharpen your charcol pencils. We then started to sketch the body, using a shape method.Got the feel on how to properly porportion your figure.3 hours

3 hours3/28/2015Used the willohiw charcoals to tone the paper and go more in detail for positive and negative. This time we woud get to do the details of the body but it would either be dark or white. There was a lot of use of the kneaded eraser.27 hours
