Targeted instruction for my students. I will use the data to inform the content area teachers of students strengths and weaknesses in order to help them better meet the needs of the ENL students.
I really enjoyed Rachel's workshops. She is a great presenter. She has a very nice demeanor and is extremely helpful. She answered all questions very thoroughly.

I liked using the NYSESLAT prof. level name chart.
I was helpful to see where the students actually lie. It is easier to see strengths/ weaknesses.

I plan on finding a use for rewordify and quill in the coming school year. The interactive portion was amazing and I plan to share those with appropriate content area teachers. I hope to use it all at some point
I loved the am/pm format- probably the best I've ever seen at a PD. My only suggestion for improvement is better WiFi b/c I would have liked to try out more of the technologies myself during the PM session

I learned a lot of this information in previous workshops. What was important about this one is that I was able to bring a co-teacher.
WE need Administrations training in Marlboro about the ENL regs, needs for supporting co-teachers, and how to support ELL's. Next time it might be helpful to look at a content lesson and breakdown how it can be transformed for an integrated class.

More co-teaching strategies w/ new teachers I work with. I will try some different co-teaching methods with teachers I have already been working with.
Workshops for administration to clarify what co-teaching is and the roles of the ENL teacher. For Gen Ed teachers- Emphasize the importance of group work!

This helps me be more aware of my role when I push into a content area HS class. I have more ways to feel like I am making a difference in the classroom by having in on the language objective.
It would be helpful to give specific co-teaching scenarios and have use come up with a lesson for the topic and share our different ways to go about co-teaching the lesson.

It was helpful in giving me the language to explain to Gen Ed teachers that an ELL challenges in the classroom may not indicate a disability.
a lot of time was spent explaining the states SLA and the idea that students who are ELLs are often over classified as speech/language impaired. What S/L impairment looks like was covered only briefly at the end. I would love a whole PD on the topic of Speech Language impairment and effective pedagogy to address students needs.
