Its possible that I could have pushed for non-money comp like PTO. Maybe I should have.

They came back with $105,000 + $10,000 bonus. I asked if there was any more wiggle room citing a loss of a tertiary benefit, they threw in an additional $5,000 signing bonus

I listed everything I've done for the merger and they did not meet my "fuck you" counter of $74k, but went to $65k and improved the relocation. It's $5k more than I was expecting so I'm good. Plus stock options later

Made ~80k. Had a 125k offer at another company. Got offered 160k plus 10k signing bonus here in a more expensive place. Negotiated to 175k, 20k signing and 10k for relocation very easily - as if the second offer was already prepared and the guy just waited for me to ask for it. (Initially I asked for more signing bonus and he responded by offering more salary....okay I'll take it.)
