The scholarship does not cover room and board expenses.

Eligibility: Must be an Indiana resident and a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen. Must have attended a publicly supported high school on a full-time equivalency basis for at least the last two semesters before the student graduated. Must have been awarded a minimum of a Core 40 high school diploma by the end of grade 11, including any summer course work completed by July 1 of the year of graduation. Must enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student at an eligible institution not later than the fall semester in the academic year immediately following the year in which the student graduates from high school. Must meet any other minimum criteria established by the Commission.

P.E.O. STAR Scholarship9/15ApplicationThe P.E.O. Sisterhood provides a non-renewable $2,500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior woman, which must be used in the academic year following graduation. Eligibility: Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success. Has a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Is in the final academic year (senior year) of her secondary education. Is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada. Plans to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States or Canada, full- or part-time, in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation.

The Gates Scholarship9/15/2025http://www.thegatesscholarship.org/The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential. Selected Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance to earn a bachelor’s degree, that is not already covered by other financial aid and the Student Aid Index, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology used by a Scholar’s college or university. Costs covered include tuition, fees, books, and food and housing, and may include additional personal costs.

Student must be the first in their family to attend college. The initial eligibility requirement is first generation college status, but the application process also takes into account need, prior academic success, demonstrated commitment to overcoming barriers, and insight into the long-term benefit of degree attainment for the student, the family, and the community.

This scholarship was designed for high school juniors on track to graduate early. It offers a one-time award of $4,000 and is available to students who graduate from a publicly supported high school at least one year ahead of schedule.
