2Mike Barnardmbarnardca@gmail.comImmaterialSmart Grids, Wind Energy, Renewable GenerationResearch, Analysis, CommunicationMike Barnard has been a deeply interested observer of energy systems for three decades. Following a lengthy discussion with Margaret Atwood and others related to siting of wind turbines in a major birding area in Canada, he became a blogger on energy concerns, focusing on debunking myths about wind energy. Mike works for IBM, where he has had the good fortune to work on Smart Grid projects for IBM’s clients and with IBM Research on energy-systems related efforts, in addition to many other interesting initiatives that IBM is uniquely positioned to undertake. His focus with the Energy Growth Group is on Smart Grid and Renewable Energy business opportunities. More of Mike’s material on wind energy can be found at http://www.quora.com/Mike-Barnar... as well as on RenewEconomy. He tweets only the most interesting things he runs across at @mbarnardca.

4Manan Shahmanan.shah.777@gmail.comIndianResearch (National Level Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debater), Analysis, Writing PapersResearch, Analysis, Communication, Writing our PapersI am an avid young student interested in helping climate change for the better. Although NASA's study has stated that "New research indicates the impact of rising CO2 levels in the Earth's atmosphere will cause unstoppable effects to the climate for at least the next 1000 years, causing researchers to estimate a collapse of the West Antarctic ice sheet by the year 3000, and an eventual rise in the global sea level of at least four metres. (http://phys.org/news/2011-01-climate-year-case-scenarios.html#jCp), I believe if we work hard and fight for change, it can be acheivable. I am a Lincoln Douglas National debater -- with high skill level in both research and analysis as well as writing papers. I can also be a candidate in communication between our orginization and others.

5Andrew Longandrewrlong@gmail.comAmericanPublic Policy; Agriculture (carbon abatement)Writing, Research, LobbyingI am currently a co-host and producer of a loca renewable energy podcast covering the Northwest U.S. I previously worked with the Citizens' Climate Lobby and received training in lobbying elected officials for a tax-and-divided program on carbon. I come at this from both the renewable energy (energy growth) perspective, the policy perspective (focusing on feed-in-tariffs and tax-and-divided on carbon), and carbon abatement as it relates to re-tooling from industrial to ecological agriculture (i.e. from monoculture to polyculture).PST
