Seattle currently has the largest number of cases of COVID-19 in the United States, with over 190 people currently being treated for the virus. The widespread panic surrounding the pandemic has left and is still leaving sex workers in extremely precarious financial situations as more and more clients are afraid to see sex workers. This, coupled with major dips in the stock market, are impacting workers in the Seattle area tremendously, and many are struggling to find work and stay alive during this time.

The CID Restaurants and other Small Businesses Relief Fund – managed and disbursed by the Chinatown International District Business Improvement Area, Friends of Little Saigon, and the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority – will give direct dollars to the small businesses in the CID to help them mitigate the impacts of this pandemic.
