Welcome to Simply Neuroscience's database of neuroscience and psychology student opportunities taking place in 2023! We have compiled a list of spring, summer, and fall-term internships, camps, research assistantships, courses, and workshops. Many of the opportunities are open to high school and undergraduate students, but there are quite a few open to graduate students, gap-year students, and post-baccaulaureates as well.

Simply Neuroscience is not involved in organizing the listed programs, and for the sake of brevity, the information for each opportunity in this database is not exhaustive, so we recommend checking the respective websites for more information and reaching out to the programs' administration.

FAQs:
5
Some of the opportunities listed on here do not seem like they are related to neuroscience or psychology.
We're a big fan of interdisciplinary pursuits, and though some of the programs may not seem explicitly related to neuroscience, there are sure to be some areas of mutual overlap. Some of these programs are not branded as direct neuroscience internships, but may have involved mentors or offer projects that relate to an aspect. Last but not least, we try to incorporate some broader opportunities that could be helpful to your next professional development adventures (e.g. looking ahead to graduate or medical school, career skill building).
6
Why do some of the opportunities not have deadlines listed on here?
It is likely that at the time we reviewed the opportunity's website, there was not a deadline announced yet. We recommend checking the programs' websites for the most up to date information.
7
Some of the deadlines for the listed opportunities have passed already.
Unfortunately, we came across some of these opportunities after the deadline had passed :( but we suggest bookmarking them ahead of time to check when their applications open up again next year!
8
I spotted a typo / error for a program's description on the database.
Please let us know at info@simplyneuroscience.org and we'll revise it as soon as possible.
9
I spotted some empty/blank cells.
We're updating some of these opportunities in real time, so keep an eye out for some edits here and there :)

How can I determine if these programs are taking place in-person or virtually?
Some programs are still uncertain about the format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Check the individual programs' websites for the latest info!

This database looks awesome...but I'm feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information. Do you have any recommendations for how to navigate?
We get that! We've organized the programs with the closest approaching deadlines towards the top of the database. And, we've added two columns (Educational Level and Eligibility) to help you further sort out which programs you're eligible to participate in based on your current grade/educational stage and age. This is not an exhaustive list though -- definitely double check with program websites!
