This workbook is designed to help towards maximum efficiency when building Capital Ships, Capital Components and Sub-Capital ships.
How to access:
|Load Price Data?||No||Go: File > Make a Copy|
|TURN OFF WHEN NOT USING!!!||This will copy the workbook into your Google Drive. Access that workbook to make changes.|
Alternitavely, Go: File > Download As > Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) Then create a new, blank Google Sheet and: Import > Upload (Select downloaded .xlsx file) and "Replace spreadsheet".
|24/02/2018 16:53 UTC||When should I copy over the latest version?|
You can subscribe to a mailing list to receive e-mail notifications for when the workbook is updated (details via the link below).
If you do not want to do this, which is fine, you will need to periodically check the master workbook at for version changes. To be clear, your copy will not automatically update when I make changes to the master sheet.
To update, follow the link above to access the most recent version of the sheet and copy it over to your Google Drive as detailed in "How to access".
The most recent version will always be accessable on the page linked above.
How to use:
Begin by changing the settings on the "Config" sheet. Throughout the entire workbook change only RED text.
- Use the "Tracker" sheet to track the progress of your builds. Values will update as you enter your stored minerals/ore/components. Remember, every time you reprocess ore or put components/hulls into build you need to update your stored values.
- The "Reprocessing" sheet is for when you have a stockpile of ore and would like to know what you can build with it.
Set up the price script:
Go: Tools > Script Editor.
In the Script Editor, Go: Select Function: InitializeGetMarketPrice. Hit the Play button (Triangle next to the bug icon). You may need to authorize the action and Google is likely to throw a trust message. You'll need to click "show details" and "continue" to trust the application.
Still in the Script Editor, Go: Edit > Current Project's Triggers. Add a new trigger for the "increment" function. This will add a force refresh for price data. I have it set to run every ten minutes and suggest you do the same.
Saving price data:
Toggle "Load Price Data?" to "Yes", allow data to load (it shouldn't take longer than a minute) and click the "Save Price Data" button. A notification will appear in the top, center of the page. Once the script has finished you can toggle "Load Price Data" to "No" again and continue to see prices throughout the sheet without it constantly calling CCP's servers which can lead to you reaching Google's Quota of 20,000 URL Fetch calls per day. (If this happens price data won't load and you will have to wait until a new day for your quota to refresh. More details in the link below.) You can do this once per day or each time you use it if it isn't this frequent and price data will remain accurate - the fluctuations in system cost index's (for job costs) and ore/mineral prices from the market won't be significant enough to matter during the course of a day/session.
On the "Config" sheet you can configure your mining fleet. The fittings used for these calculations can be found in the "Fittings" sheet. As it isn't the main purpose of this workbook I have not added complete customization for the fleet (this would basically require putting Pyfa into spreadsheet format) but you should be able to set your configuration to resemble your fleet in a fairly accurate way. It can at least give you a basic understanding of how many hours of mining you need to put into your build.
Some cells will have notes attached, mainly to explain how the figures are calculated. This is signified by a black triangle in the upper, right corner of that cell.
Access is free, Donations are welcome.
Do not pay anybody for access to this spreadsheet, it is free for all use as long as appropriate credit is given where due. All questions, concerns and ISK donations can go to https://evewho.com/pilot/Subliminally+Famous in-game. Thank you.
Things to know:
- Numbers are calculated via your data input. If a single BPC for a cap build has a different ME/TE than what you enter, or you forget to update the stored minerals on the "Tracker" sheet, you're going to get inaccurate data.
- Entered skill data is assumed to be accurate. No errors will be thrown if inacurate data is entered, but you will receive inacurate results.
- Ore and Compressed Ore Values are priced at the basic Ore price as mining a higher mineral yielding rock does not take any longer. This will result in left over minerals after the build.
- Remember Ore values fluctuate in Jita, especially the basic Ore values which are being pulled.
- If all of the ore you mine is a +10% yielding ore you will have 10% extra (based on the sheet calculations) minerals left over and therefore more potential profit.
- Refinary costs are not currently calculated. See Changelog date 01/07/2017 for more details.
- Price data causes heavy Load on the Google useage limits. Turn it off when not in use, allow a few minutes for data to fully load each time when turned on.
There is a function called "increment2" you can set to auto-trigger which will force the "Load Price Data?" to switch to "No" to turn it off. Set this up if you think you will accidentially leave it on - it will prevent you from unintentionally hitting the Google Quota Limit.
- The BPC sheet currently holds no function other than to track how many runs you have. See Changelog date 21/06/2017 for more details.
Plans for the future:
T2 production data has been added to a working workbook, I just need to figure out the optimal way of displaying data on a tracker sheet. I expect once that's done I'll also do T3 production and implement them both as one large update. Soon(TM)!
