Our experience has been that building a budget yearly (we revamp it every November) has been a major key to our success. It's not romantic but it allows you to really understand your business and how to grow.

We've put this together as a relatively simple template to help you create and run your own entity. There is no one "right" way to do this and feel free to adjust and tweak as you see fit.

Note that the costs and expenses here are generated by our experience. Yours will probably be different. Also note that this is US centric and will be somewhat different in other countries.

How to use this template

1.Go to File > "Make a copy" and create your own version of this that's private to you.

2.Get started by entering your starting balance in Row 13 below.

3.Then, fill out the 'Product', 'Expenses', and 'Income' tabs.

4.Feel free to rename or delete categories in these tabs. Your changes will automatically be reflected on the 'Summary' tab, which shows an overview of your projected/actual spending.
