This achievement standard involves undertaking development to make a prototype to address a briefAMEClarification
2
3
Student has undertaken development to make a prototype to address a brief by
4
selecting and using materials and/or components, tools and equipment
5
i.e. student has produced evidence of what applications they will be using to develop their prototype e.g. pivot animator, blender or unity if it is animation. It includes research and/or trialling about appropriate features within each application necessary to develop the prototype described in the initial brief with specifications.
6
applying practical techniques and processes to make a prototype
7
i.e. student has developed a digital prototype e.g. website, animation or 3d model;
8
evaluating the prototype in terms of the fitness for purpose of the outcome for its intended physical and social environment.
9
i.e. student has evaluated how their prototype is fit for purpose in its intended physical and social environment by outlining their audience and how the digital outcome meets the brief of being positive for youth and/or the community; the evaluation includes how the prototype meets the specifications and/or satisfies stakeholder feedback;
10
11
Student has undertaken development to make a refined prototype to address a brief by:
12
trialling, to inform selection and use of materials and/or components
13
i.e. student has annotated evidence of trialling techniques appropriate to the digital outcome e.g. website techniques may include button functionality; navigation links; animation techniques may include frames per second and exporting;
14
trialling, to inform the selection and application of practical techniques and processes.
15
i.e. student has evidence of testing including stakeholder feedback durign trialling of techniques specific to the application and/or digital prototype
16
17
Student has undertaken development to make a justified prototype to address a brief by:
18
trialling the prototype to gain evidence of the its fitness for purpose in its intended physical and social environment
19
i.e. student has evidence of stakeholder feedback that shows trialling the prototype in its intended physical and/or social environment.
20
using evidence, including stakeholder feedback, to make a judgement of the prototype’s fitness for purpose.
21
i.e. student has justified in their final brief how the outcome'will meet the brief i.e. be fit for purpose.
