UK University IB Entry Requirements
4
5
Do you know what you need to get into your top-choice university? The IB isn't as well understood by many UK universities as A-levels, or other national equivalent qualifications, and sometimes it can be hard to find information about what you need to to to secure you place on your chosen course.

Because of this, we've compiled together the IB entry requirements for some of the most common degree programmes at the top 50 UK universities so you can find all the information you need in one place, and quickly compare institutions and programmes!

How are subjects grouped in the table?
8
You won't necessarily find specific degree programmes in our IB Entry Requirements table. In order to allow you to easily compare different universities' programmes, sometimes we've combined similar programmes at the same university and given an average entry requirement for all those courses: so while King's College London offers degrees in History, Ancient History, War Studies, and the History of Medicine, you'll see the typical offer they'd expect for these programmes listed under 'History'. Remember: always check the specific requirements for each university and course.

How should I use the IB Entry Requirements table?
10
It’s imperative you choose your UCAS choices will a full understanding of the entry requirements, as well as any additional generic stipulations (like English-language proficiency, for example). The IB Entry Requirements table is a guide to help you quickly compare the entry requirements for similar programmes at different universities. Entry requirements might vary from course to course which our table might not account for, for example: Politics at Warwick requires 38 points, but the joint-honours course Politics & Sociology only requires 36, but as this is a less common course we haven’t listed it here. Make sure you check the entry requirements on the UCAS website and the university website/prospectus.
