Make a prediction as to whether an ice cube will melt faster in freshwater or saltwater.
Why do you think this? Previous experience or knowledge?
How long did it take for the ice cube to melt in freshwater? (Answer in __:___, please)How long did it take for the ice cube to melt in saltwater? (Answer in __:___, please)Once you added the food coloring, describe what you observed. Use both QUALITative and QUANTITative observations if possible.Write a CLAIM based on the driving question: "Will an Ice Cube Melt Faster in Fresh or Saltwater?"Present your EVIDENCE to support your CLAIM. (Use raw data to accompany your narrative; at least two [2] pieces of evidence, please)Write a REASON statement that ties your EVIDENCE to the SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLE explored to support your CLAIM

Using salt on walk ways and roads prevents ice from forming raises freezing point

Freshwater has color go throughout the cut, where as the salt water has the coloring on the top
Ice will melt faster in fresh water than the salt water
The salt water held the melted water at the surface of the liquid and this was visually shown by addition of food coloring.
