This is our attempt to create an open, regularly updated, and transparent assessment of the economic impact of the ongoing floods in Pakistan. We are sharing with folks who would like to take a look at the methodology and contribute to this open-source project.

If you are just using our model to inform yourself, consider citing us. If you are here to take a look and help us tighten then, feel free to leave comments on the sheet. We are restricting ability to live edit to a small group, otherwise it may get unwieldy. But the goal is to take your comments into account and add to this model.

As you leave comments and contribute, please leave your name and designation below, so that we know who all has contributed to this.

Methodology: We are using open-source information from NDMA, PDMAs, and on-ground sources who are informing us about the scope of the damages. In addtion, we have used historical data from agriculture reports, 2010 floods assessment from the World Bank, and news reports covering costs of building road and bridge infrastructure.
