2	The Turtle Hospital - Hospital Tours	Endangered Species Day 2026 will be observed on Friday, May 15, 2026, and we invite you to join us in honoring this special day of awareness, education, and conservation. Endangered Species Day is a national day dedicated to celebrating wildlife, learning about threatened and endangered species, and inspiring action to protect the natural world. Observed each year on the third Friday in May, it is recognized through events in schools, parks, zoos, aquariums, wildlife refuges, and communities across the country. This day is more than a celebration—it is a call to action. It reminds us that the future of threatened and endangered sea turtles depends on the choices we make today. Join us on Endangered Species Day for a guided tour of our sea turtle hospital. Our educational programs run daily, rain or shine, with tours beginning every half hour starting at 9:00 AM, and the final program beginning at 4:00 PM. Tour start times: 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 12:30 PM, 1:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 3:30 PM, and 4:00 PM Guests are invited to take part in a guided educational experience through the hospital facilities and rehabilitation area. Each program lasts approximately 70 to 90 minutes and begins with a presentation on sea turtle identification, followed by a behind-the-scenes look at the hospital and rehabilitation spaces. At the conclusion of each program, guests will also have the opportunity to feed our permanent residents.
