Radiation Specialist Cory Bahl and KAPS ISD Mentor. John Kiely, Response SME, also
weighed in supporting the project.
Key Decision - Needs Assessment and Training Needs Analysis is the next step.
Employed the Office of Radiological Security Training Management Plan

Phase OneCreate Needs Assessment and Training Needs Analysis. Continue to meet with
SME, Cory Bahl, and Knowledge Acquisition Performance Studies (KAPS) Mentors.
Determine long and short-term goals. Identify performance outcomes.
Examine current training and its relationship to this new proposed RSO-focused
course. Establish the next steps with Cory and the KAPS Mentors.
Used ORS-approved templates to create assessment and analysis.
SMEs and Mentors communicate that I should move to the proposal process
with the Department of Energy (D.O.E.) The fact that the course is being proposed
for funding is motivating and inspiring me to stay on task to meet the proposal
deadline. Key Decision is made to develop the ARSO course with the funding
goal in mind.
On schedule.

to PRDs, operating and calibrating PRDs, assessing radiation hazards during a
rad breach event, defining safety protocols, and communicating with
first responders. Write instructor script (WORD) and create gifs
(Mixamo, Canva) of Cory. Film intro of Cory.
During this phase, I employed Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and BlackMagic
Pocket camera
to film Cory on a green screen. I created the gifs using
Mixamo and Canva.
This phase was a heavy lift and, but I felt support from SMEs and Mentors.
