This agreement serves to confirm the following.

·        Our animals legally belong to Loving Paws Rescue and are fostered solely in our discretion.

·        We have the right to refuse a foster application without giving reasons.

·        We cannot accept responsibly for the temperament or behaviour of the animal.

·        Should any information on this form be found to be false and/or incorrect and/or not complied with, Loving Paws Rescue has the right to investigate and reclaim / remove the animal without notice.

·        This animal should always be treated in a loving and kind manner, it is expected that you will provide this animal with access to adequate shelter, food and water and any medical treatment it may require as well as to see to its emotional well-being.

·        Fostering one of Loving Paws Rescue dogs/cats means that you take care of it as though it is one of your own.

·        Please take special note that should the animal become sick, you are required to please contact us immediately and we will arrange an appointment at our vet to examine them. However, if you are in the position to take the dog/cat to a vet of your choice, please note that we will not cover the costs or any expenses if it is not our vet.

·        You need to be aware that when you are fostering one of our animals, you are under NO CIRCUMSTANCES allowed to give the animal away or try to rehome them yourself, unless it was approved by us, the animal remains Loving Paws Rescue property until he/she is adopted.

·        We require confirmation within 7 days should you decide to adopt the animal, otherwise the animal needs to be returned to Loving Paws Rescue (or if any other arrangements are made between you and Loving Paws Rescue).

·        No animal adopted from Loving Paws Rescue may be used as a performance animal / security animal for any reason whatsoever.

·        Neither Loving Paws Rescue, nor its employees, volunteers, directors, affiliates or members can be held liable for any loss of property, damage or injury as a result of fostering this animal.

·        Unfortunately, in most instances we have no idea where our puppies / kittens and/or dogs / cats come from as most of them are dumped or found as strays.

·        All puppies / kittens and / or dogs / cats will receive their first vaccination and, in the event, that they are not adopted before the second vaccination or annual vaccination is due, we will provide them with the same.

·        Although all reasonable precautions are taken, we cannot guarantee that puppies / kittens and / or dogs / cats will not become ill or pass away as a result of illnesses.

·        Puppies / kittens and / or dogs / cats can get sick and become ill. If you find your foster puppy / kitten and / or dog / cat is vomiting and / or has a runny tummy and off its food, please call us immediately, we will assist where possible by referring the animal to our vet, or please take your puppy / kitten and / or dog / cat to a vet immediately.

·        Please note that Loving Paws Rescue provides no guarantee as to the health of the foster animal and that your foster animal may have medical needs, socialization problems, and may not be housebroken.

·        If for whatever reason you are no longer to foster the animal, please inform us timeously so that we have an opportunity to make alterative arrangements.
