PreK Project Units OverviewMy School and Me
This project unit is designed to introduce students to the structures and routines of school, making friends, and understanding more about themselves and the world around them. Student growth across the year will be reviewed in the last project unit, Growing and Changing.		Construction
This project unit is designed to introduce students to basic problem-solving and mathematical concepts via planning for and building all kinds of structures.		Families
This project unit is designed to introduce students to the importance of families and understanding their role within a family.		My Community
This project unit is designed to introduce students to community structures via the people who live and work together within our communities.		Transportation
This project unit is designed to engage students in exploring how people and objects get from one place to another by focusing on spatial relations, observations, following patterns, number sense, and cause/effect.		Growing and Changing
This project unit is designed to help students gain a beginning understanding that all plants, animals, and people change as they grow. Each student will engage in activities using artifacts from Project Unit 1 to compare/contrast his/her growth over the course of the school year.
