BandBand is for all students who want to perform music with woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. Students who have played band instruments before will join Intermediate Band when they arrive at Glenbard East. Students who have never played a band instrument before can join Beginning Band. Band includes all co-curriculuar activities: marching band, jazz band, beginning band, intermediate band, concert band, symphonic band, basketball band, and percussion ensemble.

Best BuddiesBest Buddies is a club that promotes friendship between students with and witthout Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Best Buddies hosts 1 party/meeting per month after-school and goes on one trip per month. There are four rooms provided for each party: a game room, dance room, art room, and social room. You can even become a 'Peer Buddy' and be matched in a 1:1 friendship with a student with a disability! Choir, Hip Hop Production & Vocal Music
Choir is comprised of 5 curricular choirs that take place during the school day. Each of those students also has co-curricular requirements (rehearsals, concerts) after school. We also have several co-curricular and extra-curricular vocal music opportunities after school for students enrolled in the curricular choirs and also those who are not. The opportunities for students who do not have choir during the day for the 2022-23 school year are:
-Ram Records Open Mic Nights (Various opportunities to either perform or listen to music)
-D87 Hip Hop Symposium (a day for all students enrolled in Hip Hop Production to learn and increase their skills)
-GBXmusicfest (an evening festival featuring commercial musicians from across the district)
-Ram Records Staff Variety Show (once a year show where Glenbard East staff members showcase their talents. You can volunteer to help produce.)
-Ramparts (audition to be one of the approved performers of the National Anthem at Glenbard East events (including athletic contests)
-Eastwind Vocal Ensemble (Auditioned SATB ensemble of singers that meets after school)
-Vocal Jazz Workshop (Auditioned SATB ensemble of singers focusing on the jazz art form)
-Treble Ensemble (Auditioned SSA ensemble meeting in the Spring Semester)
-Ram Records Open Studio (an opportunity for any student at Glenbard East to come and use/produce/write/make music in our recording studios and labs with adult supervision & feedback)

Color GuardColor Guard uses flags and dance to add a fun visual element to marching band performances. It is open to any student, regardless of experience. National English Honor Society (NEHS)Invitation to the Eric Lemke Chapter of the National English Honor Society for High Schools is extended to students with a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.5 and a cumulative weighted GPA of 5.2 through the first semester of their junior year. Science OlympiadWe meet once a week to prepare for the yearly competition in March/April. Students can choose from a variety of science topics in which to "compete." Topics include health medical, chemistry, engineering, building and designing, lab skills, computer science, archaeology, forensics, epidemiology, and physics. Student CouncilStudent Council is the student voice of Glenbard East. The council’s purpose is to show school pride, provide for appropriate action in response to the needs and demands of the student body, and to organize student affairs. Student Council is in charge of Homecoming Week and dances, Winter Wonder Week, various fundraising projects, and generally representing Glenbard East at school functions.
