9 | Digital Slip A.P.E. Arts | 2023 | Northampton, MA | digital slip brought together four artists--Alyssa Moore, Sarah Holloway, Kole Kovacs, and Emma Safir—to consider the human aspects of our digital infrastructures. Their collective push against the invisible and the arbitrary results in unruly, infectious, and textile interventions. Together, their work asks: what options do we have beyond surveillance and autocomplete, rigid interfaces and concealed networks? Glitches become a slippery place, a human break in the streamlined feed. As infographics rebel and a keyboard morphs into woodgrain, viewers are invited to consider how they can reimagine their own relationships with both hardware and software. Meanwhile, the digital window becomes fabric, uncooperative, a thicker glow.

Stick Show featured a special collection of sticks found by ‘artists’ and ‘non-artists’ alike; drawings, images, paintings, sculptures, and videos with sticks as both subject and object matter; and an open invitation to community members to contribute sticks to a group sculpture.
