Typically when a MAP reports to a health care professional that they feel an attraction to a child, this may trigger a mandatory report to police or authorities and this may cause MAPs to hide and suppress the need to talk about this subject with anyone. We are looking to change this. We need social work students or those with healthcare in their background to run anonymous virtual support groups which are focused on prevention rather that supporting MAP with their desires or actions.
