Ahlgren, CassieBehind the Veil of the Herb SpiralAbby ColehourExploring the invisible structures behind an ecovillage. Is this a community or a glorified apartment complex? What motivates us to offer our gifts here? How do we draw on diversity to adapt to changing circumstances? How do we factor in equity and inclusion into community processes? What would long-term ownership look like? Join the multi-tool community creatrix Abby as they take you on a tour of Eugene ecovillage Maitreya from the inside out, offering more questions than answers as we weave new strategies into old systems to build a world that works. Help for asylum seekers from central America who we are assisting in finding their footing in their new home. The first link add the Memo "Isabel" or "Diana", who have children and no work visa, and all of the money will go directly to them. The second link is for Reina, who is working but still has a ways to go towards stability. https://www.gofundme.com/f/asylum-navigation & https://www.gofundme.com/f/seeking-independence-during-asylum

As David Holmgren, co-originator of permaculture, said, recession has been the most effective means to lower of resource footprints. The best case scenario is not just keeping the piles of corpses as low as possible, but the triggering of a societal immune response for real resilience.www.PeakChoice.org9/25

These experiences include many bitter mistakes, as well as sweet successes, all of which I've distilled so you can build on top of that instead of having to reinvent the wheel, and make your own new fabulous mistakes as you move through your own adventures in co-creating communities.www.whitewynd.comPaypal:

I hope to craft this space for BIPOC folx to imagine our dreams and desires of how we would like to engage with land and culture and the barriers and obstacles we face in our journeys including specifically within the Permaculture movement and even more specifically, in our bioregion. My hope is for us to leave this session feeling more deeply connected with each other so that we can rely on each other in our unfolding journeys towards healing for land and for our people.cityrepair.org Venmo:

Shaelee E (host), Cassie (questions), JulieBraveSpace-An Ecosomatic approach to Trauma, Consent, and Co-creationMatthew NelsonWe are living systems; we are made up of living systems; we participate in living systems. Our social interactions are simultaneously physical, emotional, and spiritual expressions of ecologic inter-being. Our traumas are rarely just our own, and they are both created and healed in communion with each other. Somatic body-based perception and action give access to layers of consciousness—including communal layers—that easily evade the logic of everyday thinking. Shaelee & Julie (co-host), Cassie (questions)Music stream with music by Jahnavi Veronica and Galen HeffermanJahnavi Veronica was born and raised at the south end of the Salish sea, alongside cedar, madrone and salty air. She creates music that is both otherworldy and dreamlike, and grounded in root and stone and soil. Her songs come from a fierce love for life, touching upon the joy and grief of being human. Music for her is a prayer for healing and wholeness, to and from the Earth. Her intention is to share her songs in a way that inspires a deeper connection between people and all the beings and places who share this beautiful and precious life.
Galen Hefferman (anglicized from Galen Áinle Ó Hifearnáin) creates and catches songs from dreams and visions. His music weaves his inner world with the music and colors of the world around him; the snaking of a beaver dam across a marsh, the spinning of the Big Dipper around the North Star. His songs often explore themes of death, the natural world, ancestry, and the timelessness of song and beauty. With guitar, his voice, various homemade instruments, a rotating cast of guests, and the voices of those who show up, he crafts soundscapes to reflect the vivid inner landscape of his dreams and the vibrancy of the natural world. He seeks to blend the boundaries between audience and performer, and cultivate opportunities for collectively entering a dream world in a live setting. He is currently recording his first full album.

Shaelee E (host), David A, Cassie (questions), JulieHow to make Bokashi and brief history of fermentation and Nature FarmingPeter JacksonBokashi is a Japanese word meaning fermented matter and has roots going back centuries for agriculture and thousands of years for rice wine production. Rice bran or a variety of agricultural residues are commonly used to make a quick lactic acid bacteria or fungal dominated solid-state ferment that helps repopulate soils or waters with beneficial microorganisms. In the modern era cultures propagated and used include store-bought Effective Microorganisms developed by Dr. Teruo Higa or localized Indigenous Microorganisms captured and stabilized as taught by Cho Han Kyu and Gil Carandang. Peter has been creating a school and website to help promote Natural Farming outside of Anacortes, WA and Cascadia in general, as these microbes are able to do much healing for the planet. https://cascadiannaturalfarming.org/9/27
