2/3/2017AABE Scholarship--click on Houston Linkup to $10,0001. The student must have an unweighted academic average of “B” or better (3.0 on a 4.0 scale).
2. The student must be a graduating high school senior who intends to enroll the next semester following high school graduation in an accredited college or university.
3. The student must plan to major in business, one of the physical sciences, technology, engineering or mathematic fields in preparation for a career in the energy sector.
4. The student must be one of the historically underrepresented minorities in the sciences, technology, engineering and math related disciplines. (African American, Hispanic or Native American)

2/10/2017ACET Scholarship$1,000• ACET offers 20 scholarships annually to graduating high school students.  The tuition scholarships are payable directly to the college, university, or other post-secondary institution of the student's choice.  
• Student applicants must provide documented proof of participation in a compensatory education program sometime during their school career.  
• Compensatory Education includes programs such as Title I, Bilingual/ESL, State Compensatory Education (SCE), Migrant and Homeless and Pregnant or Parenting students.

Currently a senior in good standing in a greater Houston or surrounding area accredited high school.
Relocated between grades 9 and 12.
Relocated more than 50 miles and changed schools due to their family's relocation
Currently have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent achievement on a different scale)

Have a minimum grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).
Be a U.S. citizen or a legal U.S. resident.

Houston area high school seniors who attend schools or are homeschooled in the following eight counties: Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery or Waller.
Students who are citizens of the United States. Students with Permanent Resident status are not eligible.
The Scholarships are awarded based on academics and financial need.

2/24/2017Texas Gifted Program Scholarships$400-$2,500Scholarships for students who are identified as part of the Gifted and Talented Program (Encounters); there are scholarships for summer programs, graduating seniors, and three-week math workshops. All current and former Encounters students should check this out!

2/28/2017GCEFCU Scholarship$4,000Applicant must be a high school senior.
Student must be a member in good standing with GCEFCU and parent/legal guardian must be a member in good standing with GCEFCU.
Recipient of the scholarship funds must maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 and earn at least twelve hours minimum each semester.
The scholarship will be used for the purpose of study at an accredited college or university.
Scholarship funds will be paid each semester to the school of the recipient’s choice when evidence of enrollment and G.P.A. (copy of transcript or grades) maintained is presented to GCEFCU.
Areas of consideration for selection will include need, academic achievement, character, leadership and personal recommendations.
A candidate must have a minimum combined SAT score of 1000 and/or a minimum ACT score of 21.
