**Reformatted Tabs 7.30.18** This document is a growing list of super clear cognates. Considering the English vocabulary of a typical high school learner (i.e. more limited vocabulary of non-native, less-privileged English speakers with lower literacy rates, or kids who just don't read much at home), some of these will be less-clear than others. Thank you for contributing where you can (and please follow style, formatting, and adding words to appropriate tabs), and make use of this list in an effort to make Latin more comprehensible for your learners! N.B. As long as a dictionary entry includes a matching cognate at least once in the list of meanings, it's here (e.g. convertere to mean "convert" despite the primary meaning of convertere is "turn around/reverse"). - Magister P
