Gary2.0p2Where is the unicode in this example? In ENV['ENV'] maybe? Not in the filename, not in its contents (both of which could cause trouble anyway)
10
Greg2.0p2I18n needs a function from 2.3 to be implemented fully (it can _almost_ be backported to 2.2, but some functionality is lost), so no major effort can be started for this until 2.0. High priority then.

Steven1.xp3?We really need to get this fixed. I'll take it unless someone else suitable volunteers (or can be drafted).

Gary1.xstevenknightshould be fixed by Steven's Visual Studio fixes (when are those planned? Some work has already been done.)

StevenresearchstevenknightI'll try to pay attention to how it gets invoked on Windows so that (I hope) it will accomodate paths in Japanese with spaces in them... whew

GaryAgree w/ Steven; fix it once in the spawn layer if possible. Need a consistent variable-expansion policy w.r.t. spaces.
62
GregJimThis appears to be a straight quoting issue. Jim may already have fixed it.
63
JimAgreed about needing a policy regarding spaces. I fixed up some stuff, but needs a bit of higher-level thought

Stevenresearch? He included a patch which just hard-codes putting quotes around the path if it has spaces. I'm actually interested in some more expansive solution to our general white space / quoting issue. We should really get rid of all the complicated gunk in the Patform/*.py modules in favor of using the subprocess module.

StevenresearchstevenknightVisualStudio related, so give it to me. (You know, I'm not sure why we even have to have the .windows attributes on those variables in the command line...)

Steven1.xp3cournapeHave David triage it. Looks to me like it's already fixed with his work on MODULE and scanning and Fortran file suffixes.
