Alafia River RendezvousJanuaryXThis is the largest pre-1840, interpretive living history encampment, and is held in Homeland FL. There are over 1,200 participants, with 200 or more craftsmen demonstrating historical skills from late 1700 and early 1800 American Life. Some of these skills include blacksmithing, candle making, hide tanning, and leather work, clothing and footwear production, from scratch cooking, and dozens of other activities our child will be exposed to and participate in.

We portray a pioneer family, living in a canvas tent, cooking with iron cookware over an open fire, with only candles to see by at night. We are fully dressed in early primitive American clothing.
