Utility TrackingContinue to utilize Edmonson Excel software to track schools' energy consumption and costs.
Monitor monthly bills, ensuring the district is on the correct utility rates for each building.
To track and monitor electricity and natural has consumption, to be able to identity trends and opportunities for savings. This data will continue to be utilized to communicate to district stakeholders about building and district wide progress.

Education, Awareness and BehaviorsContinue school teams, continue communication efforts (newsletters), and create a culture of energy efficiency and environmental awareness for students and staff. The district committee will support the efforts of each School to establish school energy teams, using resources such as KY Green and Healthy Schools and the National Energy Education Development Project (NEED). District and school teams will continue communication efforts to bring awareness to their efforts and the importance of energy efficiency and environmental concerns.
15
Facility Procedures - GeneralReview facility procedures and any opportunities for future facility improvement. Determine if retrofits or replacements make fiscal sense for energy savings and return on investment. The district committee shall review current operation and maintenance procedures in each school building, with the guidance of the Director of Facilities and the District Energy Manager. Steps should be taken to educate each school building's staff and teachers on how their building operates. Investigate new technologies (ie lights, sensors), when appropriate, for incorporation into each building.
