The two other speakers in the same block extended their program by 15 minutes each to make up for his 30 minutes.

4:30-5:00Doers of the WordImam Yousef BakeerThe tongue is not easy to control. It can pour out blessings and curses, and controlling it is a sign of spiritual maturity. This session will explore the broader impact of words, extending beyond spoken language to include text messages, Snapchat, and social media sharing. We'll delve into the importance of creating safe spaces, fostering mutual respect, and preserving privacy for harmonious relationships. Join us to learn positive communication skills and cultivate a more mindful and considerate way of expressing ourselves. "O believers! Be mindful of Allah, and say what is right." (33:70) Imam Yousef was excellent in getting and keeping the kids attention. He used story telling to deliver his session. Very good session overall!

Discover how these practices can enhance your spiritual journey and bring a richer meaning to our Iman.Attendance was very low, only around 40-50 kids. The spoken word artists were great, however, it was not for our young audience. This would have been great for YM age audience.

2:15-4:00Jeopardy Questions from last year companion for MCNA, Questions from companion (ramadan roover, seerah) YMj Hasna FarrukhTwo levels: Level 1(5 & 6 Graders) Questions from Ramadan Roover 2023. Level 2(7 & 8 Graders) Questions from Hajj companion 2024Jeopardy game was another great activity. Kids were engaged and participants were collaborating really well. HHRD sponsored the gifts for the winners. Gift cards, Me and My Quran books and magnetic trackers. The Jeopardy game was a superhit, but lots of no-shows so teams had to be shuffled and on-site registrations were done to balance out the teams.

5:00-5:45MAD Science ShowMAD Science was also canceled last minute. The MAD Scientist checked in one hour before the program with us and went to get some items from her vehicle. However, she got into a car accident. Alhumdulillah she was fine, but the program had to be cancelled.
