A tool for estimating effective healing from Druid HoTs.Email to same name at gmail.com
4
5
HotHeals assumes that there are windows of time during which the tank's health won't change, except as a result of your HoT.
6
All windows share a common, configurable duration (must be >0s and <= 2s)
7
Each window has its own damage limit and probability. If your tank's health is down 3000 about 25% of the time, that might be a good damage limit and probability to choose for one of your windows..
8
You can specify up to five windows where the tank's health is down. If the probabilities add up to less than 100%, there is an implicit window (with the remaining probability) that the tank is at full health.
9
Each HoT or rotation is modeled independently. Your Rejuvenation numbers have no impact on the effective healing for Regrowth.
10
HotHeals assumes that you cast HoTs without regard to the target's current health. Even the direct heal from Regrowth is treated as a (large) HoT tick.
11
12
Using HotHeals
13
14
On the Main tab enter your single-stack raid-buffed spell characteristics.
15
HoT is the average amount your spells tick (raid buffed, single stack, don't include Regrowth Glyph)
16
Ticks is the number of HoT ticks you get (function of level, talents, and glyphs).
17
Direct is the average non-crit direct heal. For 4t8, enter the extra Rejuv tick here (EJ says that will be your regular tick divided by 1.3)
18
Crit is the average Crit healed. This is normally 1.5 times Direct, but Rejuv direct heal cannot crit.
19
Seed is the amount healed by Living Seed. This is normally 30% of Regrowth's crit. HotHeals assumes Living Seed is 100% effective. If you prefer a lower number, adjust the value you enter here.
20
Rejuv and Regrowth mana is from your tooltip. Lifebloom mana is the value from your tooltip, less the mana refund (489 at level 80).
21
Cast is the amount of time it takes to cast the spell, (or GCD if that is larger), plus any penalty you want to associate with chain casting.
22
Crit% is your crit rate for that spell.
23
HoTs reaplied is the amount of time the HoT is off the target before your next cast lands. Negative values are not supported by HotHeals.
24
Lb Stacks and Rg (glyph) maintained tells how early (how much time left) you stack lifebloom, or finish casting Regrowth when overwriting it to take advantage of the Regrowth glyph.
25
Healing Window Size specifies how often the tank's health changes (radically) from something other than your HoT. Must be >0 and <= 2. A bigger number tends to increase overheal, since a tick may share the same window as another tick or direct heal
26
Windows Prob is the percentage of time that the window is applicable.
27
Window Limit is the amount of damage that can be healed by a single HoT in that window. If you only had one HoT up, it would be the tank's health deficit.

31
E Heal is the effective amount healed per rotation.
32
E HPS is the effective heals per second. A bigger number here means a healthier tank.
33
E HPSC is the effective heals per second casting. Higher numbers here mean you are making effective use of your time.
34
E HPM is the effective heal per point of mana.
