4 | OLL grouping | Info | ||||
5 | Main feature | Corresponding sets | To the left is a larger grouping system to make it easier to find specific cases. Check higher rows first (eg. A perms have a block larger than 2x1, but they're also CPLLs so are listed as such). You may notice that there are no 1 edge OLLs listed - these have worse algs and harder recognition than any other cases, so it's generally considered faster to just force at least 3 edges oriented during last slot. They're therefore not included in this document. OLL can be learned in any order, as recognition is fairly easy for all sets, and the algs are all pretty good. If you want some guidance though, sets 1, 6-9, 22, 24, 28-31 and 35 are all very easy, and (apart from 35) the large sets are generally worse. PLL can also be learned in any order of course, but unlike OLL, there's a dramatic difference between the best and worst sets, both in how complicated they are to recognise and in how good the algs are. As such, it's recommended that you learn PLL in something like this order: 4LLL, then U, Z, Q, T, Y, N, B, D, F, W, M, V, J, P, R, G, C, S, I, L, and X.

21 | Multiple 2x1 bars | C, N, S, T and Y | This sheet may load slowly the first time you open it. Reloading should fix this issue. You may also run into some issues if you are using this sheet on mobile - most of these are solved by making sure you are using the Google Sheets app, but some people find issues persist even when using the app. If you can't get it to work, check out CubeRoot.me or SpeedCubeDB.com.

26 | Thanks to Juan Pablo for teaching me a lot of OLL/PLL to begin with. Thanks to Ryan Hudgens for contributing a bunch of algs, Nicolas Naing for providing some algs and giving feedback for OLL, and Carsten Matheus, Lucas Wesche, Jan Zych and Reinier Schippers for giving feedback on various cases and parts of the document. The grouping systems were created by me, James Macdiarmid.
